Portishead Marina

A marina may not seem like the obvious place to take a break, but at just 3 miles from the motorway there are a wide selection of eateries to choose from whilst enjoying the sights and sounds of marina life. With several restaurants, a coffee shop and bakery, take away fish and chips and a traditional pub over the lock gate, there is something for everyone. There isn't a specific play area for children, but with space to walk around and look at the boats; watch the cargo ships passing along the Severn Estuary and coastline walks either to the marine lake and beach or to the nature reserve, there is plenty to entertain the children and break up your journey.
